Fall Workshops at the Shoal Creek Living History Museum 10/23


This Saturday 10/23/10 the Shoal Creek Living History Museum will be offering Fall Workshops starting at 9:00am.

There are workshops in Soap Making, Doll Making, Quilting, Fall Floral, Pioneer Fashion Show, Primitive Cooking & much more!  Go here for a list of all the workshops offered on Saturday and the cost.

In the morning there is a Wilderness Training Workshop and in the afternoon and Animal Ways & Tracking Workshop.  These are perfect if you have a Cub or Boy Scout!

Also in the afternoon is a workshop called 1st Day.  In this workshop, children will spend the afternoon in the old schoolhouse building and experience school just like the pioneer children.

Go here to download a Registration form.  Registration forms are due by Wednesday 10/20/10 (or there will be a $5.00 fee).

Directions: 

From I-435, take Highway 152 east. Go 1/2 mile, then turn north onto Shoal Creek Parkway and make an immediate left onto Barry Road (the outer road of Highway 152). Go west on Barry Road to the entrance of Robert Hodge Park.

From Liberty go west on Highway 152. Go 2 miles, then turn north onto Shoal Creek Parkway and immediate left onto Barry Road. The museum is located in Hodge Park.
