I love my Swiffer Sweepers! I recently added the Swiffer Wet Jet to my collection. I do not like the cost of Swiffer Refills. They are expensive, wasteful and not good for the environment. So how can I love the Swiffer Sweepers & Mops and not buy the refills?

For the Swiffer Wet Jet Mop I bought 3 reusable pads at
Etsy. I just received them in the mail yesterday and I already love them! The seller was great & easy to work with and the reusable pads are very well made and look very durable. I also do not buy cleaning solution refills. I refill the bottle. Simply use a pair of plyers and gently twist off the cap and fill with whatever cleaning solution you use to mop your floor. This can be store bought or homemade.

For my Swiffer Sweeper & Sweeper Vac (love this one!!) I found some reusable cloths at Lowes. I have also seen these at Target & Wal-Mart. When I want to use a wet cloth with the Swiffer Sweeper I use a wash cloth and wet it with a cleaning solution or vinegar and water.
I use reusable cloths for my Swiffer-type sweeper, too. I keep looking at the WetJet, but I don't have one (yet!).
ReplyDeleteCan you just use a microfiber cloth for the Swiffer Sweeper (is that what you found at Lowe's? I have some (for cloth diapering!) and never thought about using it on my Swiffer. The refills are expensive, so this is a great idea! :)
ReplyDeleteMacomb Money Savers,
ReplyDeleteYes the microfiber cloths are what I have and they work great!
