Please be sure to vote in the Missouri Primary on August 3! The polls will be open from 6:00am - 7:00pm.
I do not normally use my blog to promote politics or elections but tomorrow is a very important day in the state of Missouri. On Tuesday 8/3/10 Missouri Residents will be voting on Proposition C (Missouri Health Care Freedom Act). If you live in Missouri, please vote on Tuesday.
Missouri Health Care Freedom Act (Proposition C on the ballot): According to Eagle Forum, “This bill will prohibit any federal law from interfering with a patient’s, employer’s, or health care provider’s freedom to choose whatever health care plan he chooses. This legislation simply protects the rights of Missourians to choose their own health care products and services without fear of facing fines or imprisonment.”
Senator Jean Cunningham states about her legislation: “Never before has an American been forced to buy a product with threat of fines or prison time. The Missouri Health Care Freedom Act states: ‘No law shall compel a patient, employer, or health care provider to participate in any government or privately run health care system, nor prohibit a patient or employer from paying directly for legal health care services.’ Aside from the incalculable financial burden which Obamacare places upon our citizens, businesses, and future generations, the overwhelming opposition expressed by citizens across the nation to its enactment, and the essential overall question of the constitutionality of the Act, it’s a dangerous and slippery slope when legislators, state or federal, tell citizens what to purchase and then fine or jail those who do not. That’s tyranny! I firmly believe that Missouri as a whole does not want to be told by the federal government when and where to see a doctor, what medicines they can and cannot take, or what medical procedure they can and cannot have.”
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.
