Kansas City Tour of Fountains: Kansas Side Fountains

So far in our Kansas City Tour of Fountains we have only looked at fountains in Missouri.  Today we are going to visit some of the fountains on the Kansas side.

There are a lot of fountains in Kansas & we only had time to visit a few, so leave a comment if you know of a fountain on the Kansas side!

Did you know that the first fountains in Kansas City were actually horse troughs?  The Intercity Viaduct Fountain (water element no longer operational) is one of these original horse trough fountains.  It is located at the Wyanadotte County Museum of History in Bonner Springs, KS.

There is a similar fountain (water element no longer operational) that is also believed to be a horse trough located at the Newport Apartments (3536 Baltimore Ave, KC, MO).
