Kansas City Tour of Fountains: South of the River Fountains

The number of fountains in Kansas City is overwhelming to say the least.  In approximately 3 weeks we have visited over 65 fountains!  Unfortunately, we ran out of time and did not get to visit all of the fountains on our list.  There are only 3 South of the River (other than fountains on the plaza, surrounding plaza area, midtown & Kauffman Stadium) fountains that we visited and I am including pictures & locations in this post.  At the end of this post, I have included the fountains on our list that we did not visit (so no pictures) but plan to visit some time this summer.

(located at Cleveland Ave & Brush Creek Blvd)

(located at Meyer Blvd & Ward Pkwy)

(located at 39th & Gillham Road)

This fountain was erected in 1968 because in the 1960's, the Kansas City area awarded more Eagle Scout badges than any other council in the country.

This fountain is a must see if you have a Cub/Boy Scout!

  1. Great pics, but there is no such thing as a "former" Eagle Scout
