Chocolate Peanut Butter Ball Monsters
- 2 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
- 3 3/4 cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 cups Rice Crispies
- 4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Shortening
I would like to make this recipe for the kids at church this year but I cannot use peanut butter due to food allergies. Does anyone know if this recipe would work using soy butter instead of peanut butter? I think they would taste good because of all the sugar, butter & chocolate but I don't know if soy butter is sticky enough to hold the balls together. What do you think?

ReplyDeleteMy LO is allergic to milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, soy and mustard. We made these with sun butter and dairy free butter and dairy free chocolate chips. Candy eyes contain egg, but we substituted with a dab of white frosting for the eye ball and chocolate chip for the pupils. Fun and delicious! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am going to try making these with soy butter for the kids at church.
