"Pearl Harbor Child" Program at Mid-Continent Library (Grandview)11/19
Yesterday, we went to the Colbern Road Branch of the Mid-Continent Library to hear Dorinda Nicholson (author of "Pearl Harbor Child") tell her story of the attack on Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. It was one of the BEST programs we have attended at the library. She really brought history to life and it is becoming very rare to hear stories from WWII. Most of the veterans of WWII are either in their nineties or have passed away so this is a great opportunity for children to hear a first hand account of WWII.
Dorinda Nicholson will be speaking again at the Grandview Branch of the Mid-Continent Library on Monday 11/19/12 at 6:30pm. There is more information on the library website and registration is required.
