Have you ever wanted to make a recipe and found that you were missing an ingredient? It seems like the 2 ingredients I am always short are Buttermilk and Half & Half. It is very easy to substitute both of these ingredients.
To make 1 cup of Buttermilk: Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Canned Evaporated Milk can be substituted for Half & Half or Cream in a recipe.
