We went to the Puppetry Arts Institute with our homeschool group and toured the museum and learned about the history of Hazelle Rollins and her puppet factory that was located here in Kansas City. For an additional charge ($2 per person) each child (and adult) got to paint their very own puppet (picutres below).
We checked-out a video from Mid-Continent Public Library titled Hazelle & The Millions of Puppets that was very interesting & a great resource. It is a 20 minute video on the history of Hazelle puppets and is appropriate for all ages.
Connor really enjoyed making his very own Hazelle Hand Puppet!
