"The Snow Queen" Puppet Show at the Puppetry Arts Institute 3/24

Come see "The Snow Queen" on Saturday 3/24/12 at the Puppetry Arts Institute (11025 E. Winner Road, Independence, MO 64052)!

In this beloved fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson, puppeteer Monica Leo uses Bohemian style marionettes that interact on the pages of two extra large pop-up storybooks. The tale follows Gerda as she travels to the ends of the earth to save her best friend Kai from the Snow Queen. Along the way she meets a host of eccentric characters, from a naughty little robber girl, to a magical flower lady, to a talking crow! This show is truly a feast for the eyes and heart.

Hand painted finger puppets of the characters will be available for purchase at the desk for $1.00 each!

Showtimes: Saturday 3/24/12 at 11:00am & 2:00pm

Cost of Admission: $5.00 per person (all ages) & includes the puppet museum

Please call (816) 833-9777 for reservations.
