Come see "Treasure Island" on Saturday 8/25/12 at the Puppetry Arts Institute (11025 E. Winner Road, Independence, MO 64052).
Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island was
published in 1883. Since then, this tale of piracy on the high seas has been
made into plays, films, and now Wit & Whimsy Puppets is proud to present a
marionette version of the beloved novel. The marionettes used in the performance
were created by Sara Goldsmith in the 1930's. Admission includes a tour of the full puppetry museum.
Hand painted finger puppets of the
characters will be available for purchase at the desk for $1.00 each!
