Crockpot Ravioli Recipe

Italian Food is definitely a favorite in our house.  This recipe for Crockpot Ravioli is so simple and you don't even have to boil water!

Crockpot Ravioli

  • 1 package frozen Ravioli (any kind will work but I usually use cheese ravioli)
  • 4 cups Red Sauce (homemade or from a jar)
  • Meatballs, Cooked Ground Beef or Italian Sausage (optional)

Place Red Sauce in the crockpot.  Add frozen Ravioli and  Meatballs, Ground Beef or Italian Sausage if desired.  Cook on low for 4 hours (do not overcook or ravioli will fall apart).  Serve with a salad and Fococcia Bread.

  1. I'm not sure what red sauce is? Is that spaghetti sauce? Does the jar actually say red sauce? I think I need to explore my grocery store more.

  2. does it have to be frozen or can it be the packaged ravioli like bertonelli (SP?) that isn't frozen?

  3. I have only tried this recipe with frozen and you have to watch it very close so the ravioli doesn't over cook and fall apart. You could probably try the packaged ravioli but I would definitely reduce the cook time on the ravioli. You could start the sauce early and then try adding the ravioli later. I would probably try 1-2 hours on the refrigerated ravioli. Let me know if you try it.
