Super Savings Saturday 6/5

Here are my deals for the week:


We made a trip to Jamesport, MO last Saturday and did some shopping at the local Amish stores.  Here is what we purchased:

  • 1 Dozen Eggs (see below)

  • 1 Bag Whole Wheat Flour

  • 2 Blocks of Cheese (see below)

  • 1 container Sprinkles

  • 1 bag Dry Buttermilk

  • 1 Coat & Bake Seasoning

  • Lemon Pepper Seasoning

  • Bacon Cheeseburger Grilling Seasoning

  • Yeast

  • Pancake Mix

  • Buttermilk Cookies (dozen) YUM!!

  • 4 Chive Plants (for my garden)
Total Out of Pocket = $30.00




This is the first time that we went to the Homestead Creamery.  It is owned by an Amish family and located on their farm.  We got to sample all of the different kinds of cheese. 

I love farm fresh eggs!  Look at all of the different colors.





I went to CVS this week for the FREE deodorant & the P&G deal.  Here is what I purchased:

  • Bounty 12 Roll Paper Towels $12.99 (used $.25 coupon)

  • Charmin 16 Roll Bath Tissue $9.99 (used $1 coupon- not sure where it came from)

  • Ban Deodorant $2.99 (used $1 coupon)

  • 2 CVS Rubbing Alcohol 2/$1.00

  • 3 Puffs Plus $.99 each (used $1 & 2 $.50 coupons from VocalPoint mailer)
I used $17.99 in Extra Bucks.

Total Out of Pocket = $7.70 & I earned $12.00 in Extra Bucks!


I purchased 2 more Blueberry Bushes for my garden this week.  They were on clearance at Home Depot (Gladstone store) for $5.00 each!

Total Out of Pocket = $10.00



My final stop this week was Office Max.  I had $50 in Rewards that expire at the end of the month so I used them to purchase printer ink.  I also purchased a desk organizer for Connor's computer desk.

Total Out of Pocket = $12.45



We ran out of milk last night and so my husband went to Quiktrip and purchased a gallon of milk for $3.75.  Sometimes it is worth it to pay a little extra for convenience!

Total Out of Pocket = $3.75


Total Money Spent this Week = $63.90

  1. I will have to check out the Amish cheese store next time we go to Jamesport.

    I also got eggs when we were there and we loved them. They were so big and colorful like yours.

  2. I would love to have the opportunity to purchase directly from an Amish farm. I bet they food tastes fresh!
