I was reading Katie's Week in Review at Cincinnati Cents and she had a great and simple idea for Thanksgiving. Start purchasing food for Thanksgiving now. The sales are starting and will increase over the next few weeks. Most of us probably know what we need to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner so why not stock-up now? Buying early will help to spread the cost of Thanksgiving over several weeks instead of spending a lot of extra money during one week. It will also make sure that we get the best price on everything. I am trying something new this year. I am going to make up several dishes in advance and freeze them. This way on Thanksgiving I can just take them out of the freezer and bake. Hopefully this will be a time saver as well as make clean-up a little bit easier. I am going to freeze Sweet Potato Casserole, Mashed Potatoes & Green Bean Casserole. I will be sharing pictures & recipes as we get closer to Thanksgiving.
