Frugal Friday: FREE Samples

Is it really worth the time and effort to request FREE samples?  YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!!

The picture above are some of the FREE samples I have received in the past few months.  I spend about 10 minutes a week requesting FREE samples and here is why I think it is worth it:
  1. Travel size products are expensive!  Travel size items have always been pricey but when the airline carry-on restrictions went into effect the price of travel size items sky rocketed.  I have plenty of personal care products for travel and when the bottles are empty, I refill them.
  2. FREE Samples are a great way to try new products.
  3. Many of the FREE Samples come with high dollar coupons.
  4. It's fun to get FREE Samples in the mailbox!
  5. Some of the samples like lotion & hand sanitizer are great to keep in your purse and don't take up a lot of room.

  1. Do you have any suggestions for where to request these freebie trial items? I've done this a few times, but the free things I get usually aren't that great...certainly not like the stuff in your picture! But I'm always willing to learn and try something new! :-)

  2. All of the freebies in the picture I posted on my blog. You just have to watch for them on manufacturer's websites and wal-mart.com is a great place to find FREE samples!

  3. Another great thing to do with samples is donate them! You still get the coupon, but help someone out in the process. We do mission work in Camobodia and we take our free samples over there and hand out as prizes at their "VBS". they love them and think it's just awesome! :)
