Glow-in-the-Dark Hexbug Nano Party

Last Saturday, Connor & I hosted a Hexbug Halloween Party!  Connor & several of his friends were given the opportunity to play with & even take home Glow-in-the-Dark Hexbug Nanos!

Here is what we received in our Hexbug Nano Party Package:

(available at Radio Shack)

My Review of Glow-in-the-Dark Hexbugs:
  • They kept all of the boys entertained during the entire party.
  • I have received several reports from other Moms that their boys are still playing with the Hexbugs after the party.
  • The tracks are easy for kids to assemble.
  • The Hexbugs are fun to watch & even the adults enjoyed playing with them.
  • The boys really liked that they glow in the dark.

IndoctriNation Documentary

(If you are reading in an e-mail or RSS feed, click here to see the video.)

This film is above all a challenge and an encouragement to millions of Christians, a must see!

A family field trip exposes the shocking truth behind your child's public school. If you're not ready to take a hard look at the true state of public education, you will not want to view this unflinching documentary. But you must!

Nearly 90 percent of Christian children attend a public school. Their families have a vested interest in all that happens there. Join filmmaker Colin Gunn as cameras follow this Scotland-born homeschool father of seven across the USA. Colin and family drive a school bus on a road trip from New York City to Washington, DC, from Boston to the Creation Museum, on a quest to understand the origins and social impact of American's modern public education system. Are the public schools an educational “neutral zone,” or a humanistic program designed to undermine the influence of the Church and the family? Is there truth to the “salt and light” argument that encourages Christians to send their kids to public school?

Featuring compelling interviews with teachers, administrators, parents, and other whistleblowers, this film is part documentary, part testimonial, and totally captivating. Above all it is both an encouragement and challenge to the millions of Christians who need to know what God's Word says about the discipleship and training of the next generation. You will want to give this DVD to every parent you know.

Features:
Samuel Blumenfeld, Geoffrey Botkin, Scott Brown, Col. John Eidsmoe, John Taylor Gatto, Ken Ham, Sarah LaVerdiere, Neal McCluskey, Michael Metarko, E. Ray Moore, Gary North, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Doug Phillips, Howard Phillips, Karl Priest, Bruce Shortt, R.C. Sproul, Jr., Kevin Swanson, Herb Titus, Robert Ziegler, Voddie Baucham and many more!

Kevin Swanson of Generations Radio recently recorded an interview with IndoctriNation director, Colin Gunn.  You can listen to the broadcast here.

Seventh Generation Dish Liquid Review & Give Away

This give away is now closed.

    From Seventh Generation:

The power of scent is remarkable. It can have positive effects on your mood, reduce stress, and even help you sleep better. But not all scents are created equal. The fruit, floral and herbal ingredients used to create the scents in Seventh Generation´s new natural dish liquid come from fields, not factories.

Seventh Generation dish liquid contains only essential oils and botanical extracts, and delivers real cleaning power. Your tableware will be left fresh and ready to serve your next home cooked meal.

With authentic ingredients like lavender from the fields of Drome in the foothills of the Alps, clementines from sunny Calabria and lemons from the soils of Sicily, Seventh Generation natural dish liquid is free of unnecessary synthetic colors or chemically engineered scents.

Enter the "Nature Makes Perfect Scents" sweepstakes at seventhgeneration.com/scents and you can have the chance to take a trip for two to visit one of the sourcing sites of Seventh Generation natural dish liquid fragrance ingredients. Visit seventhgeneration.com/scents to learn more about each scent´s origin.

I was very excited to try the different Seventh Generation Natural Dish Liquid Scents.  My favorite scent was definitely the Fresh Citrus & Ginger.  The dish liquid is very gentle but it did get my dishes clean.  I have a dishwasher and I clean most of my dishes with it but I do hand wash all of my pots, pans & baking dishes.  The Seventh Generation Dish Liquid cleaned them very well, was gentle on my hands & provided a nice fragrance.  I also used some of the Lavendar Floral & Mint Dish Liquid to make some homemade foamy hand soap and it worked very well.

Peanut Butter Prices are Going to Soar!!!

Due to a bad crop of peanuts this year, peanut butter prices are going to start soaring in November.  If you consume a lot of peanut butter like we do then you are going to want to stock-up soon!  I just ordered a 6 pack of 15oz. Skippy Natural Peanut Butter from Amazon.  I paid $12.77 (with Amazon Gift Cards I earned with Swagbucks) and chose the subscribe & save option which comes with  FREE shipping.  Normally, I would not consider this a great price on peanut butter but with a 30% or more price increase coming I will take it!
