I recently received a bottle of Tide Cold Water Laundry Detergent from Tide & She Speaks to review. I have to admit that I was very nervous about washing white clothes in cold water and I put off doing the review for several weeks because of this. It goes against everything that I know about doing laundry! I also have an eight year old son and let's just say his socks don't look very white when he puts them in the laundry hamper.
So here is my handsome son with his filthy white socks.
Here is a close-up of those socks. Aren't you glad blogs don't have smell?
The temperature on my washer is set to cold so let's get started.

Now it's time to take them out of the dryer and see the results!
Here are the final results.
All of the clothes that I washed were clean and they smelled fresh but the socks were not as white as I had hoped. There are some white clothes that I would consider washing in cold with Tide Cold Water but I will definitely continue to wash white socks in hot water.

Thanks for the review! I use Tide regular detergent, but haven't tried the cold water yet. Now I'm informed and can make a decision.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, it was very helpful. I posted about homemade powdered laundry soap compared to store bought today and would like to know your thoughts on it also.
