Watch Divided the Movie for FREE!

Go here to watch the movie Divided for FREE!

As you look on the church landscape, youth are leaving the faith in droves. The modern church, overall, is struggling to reach the next generation with the gospel. What has happened? Whether for good or bad, men, for many years, have been inventing solutions or brainstorming ideas without fully relying upon the foundation of God’s Word. God, however, is greater than man, and as the heavens are above the earth, so are His ways higher than ours and His thoughts than our thoughts (Is. 55:8-9). We have substituted the greater for the lesser – God’s wisdom for man’s ideas. Jesus said that he who hears His Word and does it, is like a man that built his house upon a rock, and when the storm came, it stood firm. On the other hand, he who rejects His Word, is like a man who built on the sand and when the storm came, the house fell (Matt. 7:24-25). Shouldn’t the church, as a whole, abandon the sandy ideas of man and shamelessly return to the firm rock of the Word of God? God’s Word sufficiently identifies how youth are to be reached. For more information on this issue, please see the film Divided, which is a documentary on age-segregated youth ministry in America. Watch it for free (for a limited time) at www.dividedthemovie.com. For an in-depth study, the book A Weed in the Church delves into the topic and more thoroughly handles the Scripture passages that address ministry to young people. (If you are reading in an e-mail or RSS feed, click here to see the video.)

Several weeks ago I shared a trailer for the new Quest for Zhu movie that is coming to DVD & Blu Ray Fall 2011.  Today I have another sneak peek at  the adventures of Pipsqueak, Num Nums, Mr. Squiggles, and Chunk as they travel through the Zhu-niverse.  Connor & I decided that Num Nums is our favorite Zhu-Zhu.  Do you and/or your kids have a favorite?

Plugged In Movie Reviews from Focus on the Family

Summer is here and that means lots of  movies for kids!  Unfortunately, most kid movies are not appropriate for kids.  Before going to a movie (kid or adult) I always read the review at Plugged In Movie Reviews from Focus on the Family.  This is a great resource to help decide if a movie is appropriate for your family.

Connor has been begging to see Cars 2 this summer.  However, after reading the Plugged In review, we are going to pass on seeing this movie.  It is very disappointing that a Disney movie would contain violent & inappropriate content.

**I am posting this information and the link to the Cars 2 Plugged In Movie Review to help people make an informed decision about their children and this movie.  It is not meant to judge anyone for watching or not watching this movie.

Please feel free to leave a comment (positive or negative) regarding this movie especially if you have already seen it.  All comments on this blog are moderated and nasty comments that attack myself, my family or our personal decision to not watch this movie will not be published.  Thank you.
