Super Savings Saturday 3/12

This week we had fun making 200 Crazy Leprechaun Hat Cookies for the kids at our church! We also have a lot of fun St. Patrick's Day activities and field trips planned for next week.

Here are my deals for the week:

I did a little thrift store shopping this week and found 7 floral cloth napkins ($1.25), a meatball shaper ($.99) and a package of china seperators ($1.00).

Total Out of Pocket = $3.24

I also went to Planters Seed & Spice (located in downtown Kansas City near River Market) to purchase coffee, almonds, spaghetti sauce seasoning, buttermilk ranch mix and 3 large spice jars.

Total Out of Pocket = $22.10
(the coffee was a splurge at $7.99/lb. so that is why my total is so high)

This week at CVS I purchased 6 packs of bottled water (not all are pictured) at $1.98 each, 2 boxes CVS tissues at $.99 each and I used a CVS FREE beverage coupon for the Coke.  I do not usually purchase bottled water but since it was such a great price I purchased them to take in our cooler on vacations and field trips.

Total Out of Pocket = $13.86

I went to Hy-Vee on Thursday for the 2 day sale and purchased 2 Skippy Natural Peanut Butters ($.99 each), Tostios Whole Grain Scoops ($1.99), Premium Multi-Grain Crackers ($.99), 2 Starkist Tuna ($.39), 4 Campbell's French Onion soup ($1.00 each & I used a $.40/4 coupon), 2 Hy-Vee butters ($1.99 each), Purex Laundry Detergent ($2.50 & I used a $1 coupon).

Total Out of Pocket = $14.82

I went to Target and found a boys green shirt on clearance for $1.98.  This will be perfect for Connor to wear on St. Patrick's Day!  I also purchased a box of Quaker Oatmeal Squares and used a $1.00 coupon that came with a FREE sample.  The Target ad had the cereal on sale for $2.99 but at my store it was $2.64.

Total Out of Pocket = $3.62

I went to Price Chopper and purchased 3 bags of Best Choice Shredded Cheese ($.99 each) and 4 bottles of Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent ($2.50 each & I used 2 $1.25 printable coupons & a $1/2 coupon).  I saved $.10 for bringing my own bags.

Total Out of Pocket = $9.37

Total Money Spent this Week = $67.01
