FREE Pizza Making Event for Kids at Price Chopper 10/13

Make-It-Yourself FREE Take-and-Bake Pizza!

Price Chopper is having a Make-It-Yourself FREE Take-and-Bake Pizza Event for kids on Saturday, 10/13/12 from 10am - 4pm! Kids 12 and under can make their very own take-and-bake pizzas for FREE. The first 100 families at each store will also receive a FREE pizza cutter, courtesy of Hormel.

I purchased 3 bars of Oatmeal Milk & Honey Soap from Sage and Daisy.  This store is located in Crown Center and sells handmade soaps, lotions & much more.  I tried a sample of their soap several weeks ago & absolutely fell in love with it!

We had a very exciting week including a visit from my parents.  They are traveling for the next 2 months and so we are dogsitting their dog Jazz (pictured above) until they return!

I went to City Market this week to pick-up some bulk spices at my favorite store, Planter's Seed & Spice Company.

  • Ground Tumeric 2oz. $1.75 (This is for a canning recipe I will be trying next week.)

  • 3 Yellow Note Pads $.39 each
  • 5 boxes Colored Pencils $.79 each (not the best price but I was out)
  • Sharpie 12ct. Colored Markers $3.99
  • 2 Welch's Jelly 2/$5.00
Total Out of Pocket = $17.66

I stopped at Aldi for produce, milk & cottage cheese.

Total Out of Pocket = $11.44

 

I also stopped at Price Chopper for the 3 Day Sale & to get the FREE July Kid's Club item.

Total Out of Pocket = $14.75

 

This is not the best deal ever but I found this Martha Stewart Batter Bottle at Macy's for $9.99.  I always use a ladel when I make pancakes or waffles and end up with batter everywhere.  This bottle seemed like a simple solution.  Leave it to Martha to come up with a solution (She probably doesn't get batter everywhere when she makes pancakes!)  I can't wait to try it out!

Super Savings Saturday 3/12

This week we had fun making 200 Crazy Leprechaun Hat Cookies for the kids at our church! We also have a lot of fun St. Patrick's Day activities and field trips planned for next week.

Here are my deals for the week:

I did a little thrift store shopping this week and found 7 floral cloth napkins ($1.25), a meatball shaper ($.99) and a package of china seperators ($1.00).

Total Out of Pocket = $3.24

I also went to Planters Seed & Spice (located in downtown Kansas City near River Market) to purchase coffee, almonds, spaghetti sauce seasoning, buttermilk ranch mix and 3 large spice jars.

Total Out of Pocket = $22.10
(the coffee was a splurge at $7.99/lb. so that is why my total is so high)


This week at CVS I purchased 6 packs of bottled water (not all are pictured) at $1.98 each, 2 boxes CVS tissues at $.99 each and I used a CVS FREE beverage coupon for the Coke.  I do not usually purchase bottled water but since it was such a great price I purchased them to take in our cooler on vacations and field trips.

Total Out of Pocket = $13.86


I went to Hy-Vee on Thursday for the 2 day sale and purchased 2 Skippy Natural Peanut Butters ($.99 each), Tostios Whole Grain Scoops ($1.99), Premium Multi-Grain Crackers ($.99), 2 Starkist Tuna ($.39), 4 Campbell's French Onion soup ($1.00 each & I used a $.40/4 coupon), 2 Hy-Vee butters ($1.99 each), Purex Laundry Detergent ($2.50 & I used a $1 coupon).

Total Out of Pocket = $14.82


I went to Target and found a boys green shirt on clearance for $1.98.  This will be perfect for Connor to wear on St. Patrick's Day!  I also purchased a box of Quaker Oatmeal Squares and used a $1.00 coupon that came with a FREE sample.  The Target ad had the cereal on sale for $2.99 but at my store it was $2.64.

Total Out of Pocket = $3.62

I went to Price Chopper and purchased 3 bags of Best Choice Shredded Cheese ($.99 each) and 4 bottles of Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent ($2.50 each & I used 2 $1.25 printable coupons & a $1/2 coupon).  I saved $.10 for bringing my own bags.

Total Out of Pocket = $9.37

It is week 3 in my Eat From the Pantry Challenge, one more week to go.  I did very little shopping this week (mostly because of the snow) but I did go to Price Chopper on Monday to get some of the one day sale items and I purchased a gallon of milk and a bag of salad at Aldi.
