Super Savings Saturday 3/19

We had a great time celebrating St. Patrick's Day this week and doing our Expedition Ireland Unit Study.  I did find a little time for shopping and I am glad that I did because I found some great bargains!

My best deal this week was this Intelliglobe that I found at Target on clearance for $22.48 (original price $125.00)!  I have been looking for a globe for my son and really liked the Intelliglobe but did not want to pay $125.00.  I just happen to find it on clearance in the office/school supply department (for those of you in KC it was at the Tiffany Springs store).

 I also purchased at Target:
  • Finish Dishwasher Detergent $2.99 (used $1.50 Target coupon & $.75 manufacturer coupon)
  • Up & Up Ibuprofen $1.77 (used $1 Target coupon)
  • Alka Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine $5.99 (used $1 coupon)

Total Out of Pocket = $28.65

Here is what I purchased at CVS this week:
  • 2 Soft Soap Hand Soaps 2/$6.00 (used 2 $.35 coupons)
  • 3 Honest Teas $1.00 each
  • 3 Coke 12 packs 3/$13.00
  • 1 Crest Mouth Wash $3.49
  • 1 Dial Lotion $4.99 (used $1.00 coupon)
  • Irish Spring Body Wash $2.99 (used $.50 coupon)
  • 3 Gain Dish Soap $.97 each (used 3 $1.00 coupons- not sure where they came from)
  • 1 Gillette Fusion Pro Glide Razor Raincheck $9.99 (used $4.00 coupon)
Total Before Coupons & Extra Bucks = $46.37

I used $18 in Extra Bucks.

Total Out of Pocket = $19.18 & I earned $19.50 in Extra Bucks!
($3.00 Soft Soap, $5.00 Coke/Honest Tea, $2.50 Crest, $3.00 Dial, $2.00 Irish Spring, $4.00 Gillette Raincheck)

Here is what I purchased at Walgreens this week:
  • Walgreens Bleach $.99
  • 6 Scotch Photo Mailers 3/$1.00
  • 2 Kleenex $.89 each
  • Starbucks Coffee $6.99 (splurge for my husband)
  • 10 Gatorades $.69 each
  • 1 Reynolds Foil $.89
  • 2 Walgreens Wax Paper $.89 each
  • 8 Arizonia Drinks 2/$1.00
Total Out of Pocket = $25.33

I picked-up a few basic groceries at Aldi this week.

Total Out of Pocket = $11.34

I went to one of my favorite thrift stores this week and found a Pampered Chef Pitcher (new) for $2.99, a tea pot for my Mrs. Tea $1.49 and a Timex weather clock radio for $3.99.

Total Out of Pocket = $8.47

Total Money Spent this Week = $93.29

  1. Great score on the Intelliglobe!!!! I had read about that but never made it to Target to look for one.

I also got the Gain dish detergent at CVS this week. The $1 coupons that I had were from the P&G coupon book that came in the mail from the rebate and then the giveaway a little while back.
